Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted), 11:30–1:00. Please feel free to bring your lunch. Drinks and dessert are provided at each meeting.

Topic: Vanishing Phoenix: Thoughts on Historic Preservation
Location: Arizona Historical Society Museum at Papago Park

Topic: Annual Holiday Party
Location: Phoenix Art Museum

CAMA’s holiday party will feature light refreshments, networking, and our annual fundraising drawing. Members are urged to bring a gift basket from themselves or their Museum Store or other donations such as movie tickets, museum passes, or gift certificates. After the drawing, members and guests are free to enjoy the museum exhibitions until closing.

Non–CAMA member guests are welcome to attend with a $10.00 donation to CAMA.

Topic: Reconceptualizing the Exhibition Space
Location: Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art

Can an education space also be an exhibition space? Can general programming be both educational and encompass an exhibition? How flexible can exhibition spaces be without losing the validity of the art experience? Join SMoCA director Tim Rodgers for a discussion of these questions in relation to the new SMoCA Lounge.
