MAA Workshop: Meeting Museum Needs in Historic Structures

Is your museum in a historic house or other structure? Do you struggle with balancing the needs of the structure with collections storage and museum activities? Then this workshop is for you.

This workshop is free, but pre-registration is required. To register or for additional information, please e-mail Janice Klein, MAA Interim Coordinator. Deadline for pre-registration: Monday, 13 February 2012.

Participants should bring their institutions mission statement and two unmarked copies of the floorplan (at least 8½″×11″) of their building(s).

Materials provided by the Association for State and Local History as part of the StEPs, funded by a grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services. This workshop addresses StEPs Standards MVG 1 and 2; MGMT 3–6; AUD 3–5; COLL2, 4 and 6; and HSL 2, 4, 6, and 7.

Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Workshop

The Arizona State Archives on behalf of the Arizona Historical Records Advisory Board (AHRAB) will be presenting a free Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Workshop.
